ASA 2006 Mersury Striper Tournament Trail

TO THE AMERICAN STRIPER ASSOCIATION, the nations "Premier Striper Tournament Series". In 2008 the ASA will be conducting 8 tournaments in our series covering the Northeast United States from North Carolina to Connecticut. Striper enthusiasts can choose to fish local tournaments or compete for the prestigious Angler of the Year Award presented to the ASA Boat Captain that exhibits the skills needed to earn the bragging rights as the Nations Best Striped Bass Fisherman. Prizes will also be awarded to the Top Jr. and Female Angler at the end of the 2008 season.

Click for Larger Image	ASA STRIPER TUBE The ASA has been looking for a Striper Tube capable of keeping a large fish alive and fresh for release after weigh-in at our tournaments. In 2007 we tested this tube on the tournament trail with very good results. We now have these tubes available for ASA members and will be displaying them at upcoming events. The Tube is 12" by 12" by 48" and stands upright. It has a pump built in that you can attach to a power source for water circulation making the tube self contained. In 2009 the ASA will encourage the use of the new striper tube at tournaments by offering a bonus weight for a successful live release. We hope you will join the ASA in promoting the Conservation of our Tournament Trails most important Resource, the Striped Bass.
